Since 2005, I have developed close professional and personal ties with Finland and while I have never lived there (at the time of writing), I am a regular visitor to the country.
Over the years, I have grown quite fond of Finland and its people, and now I feel it’s about time I made a more serious attempt at learning the Finnish language (after several aborted starts, admittedly).
This blog was started as a way to chart my (slow) progress in the language. It is primarily meant to be a support for me - helping me to keep focused on task at hand and also providing me a potential outlet for my frustration as I struggle to learn the language.
However, I also hope that others will enjoy my random musings from afar (and as an outsider) on the Finnish language, as well as the country, the weather, the people, the society, and anything else connected to Finland.
